This morning, the Rome Città Educativa will welcome over 200 students, teachers, companies and institutional representatives participated in the many activities that are provided by the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

Director General Mirta Michilli showed guests around, after a welcome by School, Sports and Citizen Participation Councillor Paolo Masini’s welcome. “I believe that this is one of the excellences of this city. We can start to think school anew from here through innovation. We must dare!” explained the councillor.

Other participants include representatives from Google, Samsung, Microsoft and Converge, as well as Regional Councillor Gian Paolo Manzella and Mila Spicola, Deputy Secretary of the Partito democratico in Sicily, all of who were able to appreciate the activities that are held daily at the Rome Città Educativa. “It’s important to unite school and the external world through digital tools,” pointed out Mila Spicola.

The IIS Pacinotti Archimede and IIS Piaget Rome schools participated in the self-awareness track and Lego Serious Play, learning that any project requires a good foundation. ITIS Pacinotti from Fondi experimented teamwork with Toobeez and Zometool, while the students from Viale dei Consoli, who are all set for the RomeCup, faced the rescue competitions. The IC A. Schweitzer and Via dell’Archeologia Schools learned how easy robotics and coding is, while the older students from IIS Diaz worked on design and fabrication techniques.

There is space for everyone at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, whether you’re beginning with theory or ready to get down to the nitty and gritty!
