Wisdom and Speed

Last Friday, we wrote about the  TV2000 special report dedicated to the experience of Project Going Digital at IIS Croce-Aleramo in Rome Roma [see news: Media Education and Digital Education].

Did you manage to catch it? If you didn’t and would like to see the report by Marta Manzo, here it is:

Pier Cesare Rivoltella, Professor at the Milan Catholic University and Scientific Director of the Centre for Research on Media, Information and Technology Education (CREMIT) was a guest in the studio. Prof. Rivoltella underlined the role played in the project by the intelligent and educational use of technology to promote an extraordinary exchange between the wisdom of elders and the speed of the younger generation. School Administrator Alessandro Pellegrini, who is also the father of two student-tutors participating in the intergenerational learning project, also pointed out “they were extremely enriched through this exchange with the elders.”

Project Going Digital, supported by the Council for People, Schools and Communities of the City of Rome -  Social Policy Department extends Project “Grandparents on the Internet” throughout the entire city, involving 151 Elderly Centres (CSAs) and 60 schools in Rome.

The project is coordinated by Cecilia Stajano, FMD School Innovation Coordinator, with the support of Eleonora Curatola.
