Project BYOC – Build Your Own Cloud, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with Acer, has already won over students and professors. At IIS Galileo Galilei in Livorno, the training session with Cloud Professor contemporaneously involved students and teachers, but the biggest surprise was the interest that the young women had in the project.

Here are the opinions recorded by Cecilia Stajano, School Innovation Manager, Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

The objective of Project BYOC – Build Your Own Cloud is to promote the study of  STREAM Subjects (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) by reinforcing the technical and digital competences of Italian teachers. Since April 2018, two new Acer Centres (A- Centres) have been inaugurated at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym and the Istituto Comprensivo Pier Cironi in Prato. These are two hubs specialised in Acer didactic technology and particularly IoP and Robotics that will become local reference points and a pilot model for other areas. The hubs will host free courses for schools, as well as teacher training courses. Nine other schools in Tuscany and in Lazio will experiment with the Acer education system and receive a Cloud Professor Kit for their curricular activities.
