Quality Education

October 5 is World Teachers' Day, the day that UNESCO dedicates to teachers. This year’s theme is “The Right to Education Means the Right to a Qualified Teacher. And UNESCO reminds all teachers of the key role they play for the implementation of the Agenda 2030 on Education.

Over the course of the past years, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has also stepped up its efforts to contribute quality education to teachers. Indeed, as often pointed out by Professor Tullio De Mauro "The ability to teach how to learn productively is not an innate skill, but something that can be learnt, just like in any other trade. The traits of a good teacher include a profound knowledge of what is being taught, the availability to collaborate with others, change one’s views, and accept failures and defeats as stimuli for new learning.” [Tullio De Mauro, Buona la scuola se eccelle chi insegnaInternazionale, June 19, 2016].

Upcoming initiatives for teachers include "CSFIRST Day," which will be held on Wednesday, October 17 at IIS Leonardo Da Vinci in Rome [Registration].

Our best wishes to all teachers!

Auguri a tutti i docenti!
