"Coding, Creativity and Female Figures" is the topic that will be addressed by Coach Giorgia Di Tommaso for the work day organised by IC G. A. Colozza and IIS G. Marconi tomorrow (September 5, 10:30 – 12:30) in Campobasso. The training session is a module for the "Magic of Algorithms – Science, Mathematics, Informatics and Coding Labs" Project, one of the winners of the second edition of the "Learn STEM in the Summer" Call, promoted by the Equal Rights Department.
The project, which will end on September 7, involves 24 students at the Istituto comprensivo Colozza in Campobasso, equally divided between primary school and first-degree secondary school.
"We pay particular attention to young women, who have always been fewer than boys in technical and scientific schools, due to a sort of “tradition” that has no true plausible motives. In fact, the project requires that 60% of participants be female in both school groups,” explain teachers at IIS Marconi in Campobasso, the school headed by Adelaide Villa. The school is implementing this project for the promotion of technical-scientific culture for the second year in a row.
The “Magic of Algorithms” Project is developed in collaboration with the Istituto Comprensivo Colozza, Fondazione Mondo Digitale and “Spettacoli di Matematica.”
