Today and tomorrow (Oct. 15-16), the University of Murcia will host the third workshop for Project DisAbuse: Disablist Bullying - Experience into Change, providing the right support services (Erasmus+ Programme).

During the morning, there will be a presentation by Prof. Pilar Arnaiz, an international expert on bullying against individuals with special needs and disabilities. Two associations for persons with disabilities - Asteamur and Fundown – will also participate in the work day.  Asteamur is an association for individuals suffering from autism, who often suffer bullying at school. Fundown is an association that works with individuals with Down Syndrome.

Luis F. Martínez, Manager of the CARM Diversity Service, will illustrate the current situation of individuals with special educational needs in the Murcia Region, in relation to bullying.

In the parallel afternoon session, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will host a workshop on the Lego Serious Play Methodology. Participants will work innovatively and creatively on the representation of various types of bullying, its effects, the actors involved and the tools and strategies to contrast it efficiently. The LSP Methodology will be included in the manual developed for experts and educators working on this phenomenon.

The workshop will be held by Cecilia Stajano and Ilaria Graziano, certified Lego® Serious Play® Method and MTa Learning Method facilitators.
