The third meeting of the course on digital manufacturing for 20 primary and first-degree secondary school teachers at the Istituto Comprensivo Simonetta Salacone in Rome, "Fab Lab. Innovating Didactics" will be held by Matteo Viscogliosi, Designer, Maker and Coordinator of the Digital Manufacturing Lab at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

In three meetings, on Wednesdays, for a total of 20 hours, teachers are learning not only to use cutting plotters (the school has one), but also experimenting with how to design and manage lab activities based on active didactic methods.

 

Competences Acquired in Labs

Designing and managing lab activities based on active didactics, learning by doing, Think-Make-Improve, Tinkering; managing group didactic activities by sharing knowledge, peer to peer, cooperative learning; acquiring tools to improve design and problem-solving capabilities, computational thinking, independence, creative sharing; acquiring tools to consolidate students’ self-awareness regarding learning processes; tools for an aware and responsible use of technological tools, spirit of initiative and active use of digital tools.
